How can we help?
Most answers are below. If yours isn’t, write to us and a real person will reply, usually within two working days.
Installation
How do I install WORLDBUILDER?
Sign in to your account, download the installer for macOS and run it. It installs the Audio Unit and VST3 versions for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Quit Logic Pro or GarageBand before you install. (TODO: confirm installer steps for the signed release.)
How do I open it in Logic Pro?
Create a Software Instrument track and choose AU Instruments → Windward Audio → WORLDBUILDER in the Instrument slot. If Logic marks it as failed, open Settings → Plug-in Manager, select it and click Reset & Rescan Selection.
How do I open it in GarageBand?
In Settings → Audio/MIDI, make sure Audio Units are on. Create a Software Instrument track, open Smart Controls (B) → Plug-ins → Instrument slot, and choose AU Instruments → Windward Audio → WORLDBUILDER. Press play: it plays along with your song, no MIDI needed.
I see sliders instead of the WORLDBUILDER window.
In the plug-in window’s view menu, switch from Controls to Editor.
How do I uninstall it?
Delete WORLDBUILDER.component from ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and WORLDBUILDER.vst3 from ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3. (TODO: confirm paths, or point to an uninstaller.)
Activation
How do I activate my licence?
Open WORLDBUILDER, choose Activate, and sign in with the account you bought it with, or paste your licence key. Your key is also in your account. (TODO: confirm once Moonbase licensing is set up.)
How many computers can I use it on?
TODO: the number of activations per licence.
How do I move my licence to a new Mac?
Deactivate it on the old Mac first, from inside the plugin or from your account, then activate on the new one. (TODO: confirm.)
Offline activation
My studio computer is offline. Can I still activate?
Yes. In WORLDBUILDER choose Activate offline to save an activation request file, carry it to a computer with internet, upload it in your account, and bring the licence file back. (TODO: confirm the exact steps with Moonbase’s offline activation.)
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
TODO: refund policy (for example, within 14 days of purchase if the plugin has not been activated). There is a free Lite version so you can try WORLDBUILDER in your own projects before you buy.
How do I ask for a refund?
Email us at general@windwardaudio.ca with your order number.
